Measurement Instructions For inside mounting cell blind blackout windows, a minimum 2" window frame depth is required. The width of blackout shades needs to be 1/2" less than the window width, and the length of blinds for windows should be 2 inches longer than the window length. For outside mounting Mini shades, the Mini blind needs to be 4 inches wider and longer than the window width and length for better coverage.
